Employer Nomination Scheme (Migration)

This is not a points tested visa, to qualify for this visa you must:

• Be less than 45 years of age.
• Have recent work experience in a Skilled Occupation(ENSOL).
• Have positive assessment from the relevant authority for your nominated occupation, unless the position is one that pays a minimum of the 165,000 AUD.
• Be sponsored by an Australian employer (the employer will have to meet certain criteria to be approved).
• Meet mandatory licensing or registration requirement for the occupation in Australia.
• Speak English (minimum vocational level).
• Show that the appointment must be for a minimum of three (3) years.
• Pass Health and Character tests with all members of the family unit.

Employer Nomination Scheme(Residence)

This is the same as the above visa with the exception that it is available for persons who are already in Australia. One substitute to the above mentioned requirement for skills assessment of high salary is that the nominated person would have been in Australia on a work visa(457) for two years and working for the nominating employer for at least one year.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS Migration)

This is a direct permanent residency visa. To qualify you must:

• Be less than 45 years of age.
• Have recent work experience in a Skilled Occupation(ESOL).
• Have 200,000 AUD (or equivalent) Business assets for at least 2 of the most recent 4 years.
• Have the relevant qualification for the nominated occupation, minimum a diploma level.
• Be sponsored by an employer in regional Australia (the employer will have to meet certain criteria to be approved and the nomination need to be certified by a regional authority where the employer's business is).
• Meet mandatory licensing or registration requirement for the occupation in Australia.
• Speak English (minimum functional level).
• Show that the appointment must be for a minimum of two (2) years.
• Pass Health and Character tests with all members of your family unit.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS Residence)

This is the onshore equivalent to the above (RSMS Migrant), the same criteria apply with an additional requirement that the visa applicant must hold an acceptable visa.

Labor Agreement

To qualify for this visa you must have:

• Be less than 45 years of age.
• be sponsored by an employer under a labor agreement(an agreement is entered into between the Australian government and employers for recruitments in occupations where there is obvious skills shortage).
• Meet mandatory licensing or registration requirement for the occupation in Australia.
• Speak English (minimum vocational level).
• Hold relevant qualifications for the nominated occupation as specified in the agreement.
• Pass Health and Character tests with all members of the family unit.

Invest Australia Supported Skills Program (IASS)

To qualify for this visa you must have:

• Be under 45 years of age.
• Be sponsored by an employer under an IASS agreement(an agreement between the Australian government and overseas organizations wishing to establish a regional office in Australia).
• Meet mandatory licensing or registration requirement for the occupation in Australia.
• Speak English (minimum vocational level).
• Hold relevant qualifications for the nominated occupation as specified in the agreement.
• Pass Health and Character tests with all members of the family unit.

Under all of the above mentioned categories accompanying adult members of the family unit are expected to have a minimum level of English (functional) where that is not the case additional visa application charges are applicable.

Also the English and age requirement can be waived under exceptional circumstances.
